During the Google for Games Developer Summit, Google announced several new features in its gaming platforms, both for mobile devices on Google Play and for Windows on Google Play Games. The expansion includes significant improvements to the user experience and game availability. A notable novelty is the addition of additional benefits for Google Play Pass subscribers, a kind of “Apple Arcade” for Android. From now on, these subscribers will enjoy exclusive gifts and discounts on in-app purchases in games such as “FC Mobile”, “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang”, and “Roblox”, among others.
Additionally, the Play Pass service will launch in South Korea this year. Google will also roll out game-related YouTube videos directly to the Games tab of Google Play and on each game’s information pages. In addition, they will include frequently asked question summaries generated by artificial intelligence, although for the moment they will only be available in English.
Also new is the introduction of more versatile login methods for developers using Google Play Games Services, making it easier to synchronize saved games and achievements across different devices. Finally, Google is expanding support for Google Play Games for Windows, adding native PC games in addition to emulated Android games. This means that you will soon see more native Windows games available on Google Play.
